Personally I'd be more inclined to go for intel core i5 as opposed to amd.

Intel Core i5 750 = £149.99
Asus P7P55D Pro = £142.99
OCZ Obsidian 4gb pc3-12800 = £85.99
Corsair H50-1 = £58.99

Total inc. vat = £437.95

Cheaper than that Amd bundle. :)

I'd go for a modular power supply too. - Sorry my mistake!

Also I don't think those hard drives are the best boot drives. Go for Samsung Spinpoint F3

neo-omega, that would be a poor option to take as from the OP's shopping list it seems they need a monior and they missed out an operating system...

your link would cost far more

personally for playing top games you are best off with an I7 920, H50 cooler, suitable mobo and ram and psu dependent upon PSU add all the rest arround it but it should be obtainable cheaper than blakey's screenshot.

@ blakey, i would find each of those components seperatly and overclock yourself its quite simple thats if you want to go AMD, personally i am Intel for better performance

i7 is hardly any better for games than phenom.

OPs first setup is good apart from the case and get the spinpoint f3 hdd instead of that, maybe consider a small SSD as well if you can afford it.

And I'd go with my own setup rather than bundle.
Like this setup, saves you a few quid:

Also as much as the corsair h50 is nice, the cheaper air cooling alternatives arent much worse and probably more than adequate of doing the job right.

The new Tuniq Tower

will save you further 20 quid and offer top notch performance while remaining dead silent as well : ).

At your budget you should be going intel.

AMD have a great budget range but their high end stuff is too close to the price of the i5 and can't match it for performance.

What David41 has mentioned looks good :)

if your not going to oc then justget the cheapest i5 mobo and youll save more there

thing is guys i wont be saving much becuase i need monitor operating system case and gfx card so its still all going to add up roughly the same

That hard drive is 5400rpm. No need to buying that, unless you want a very silent system. Samsung F3 is better.

Why don't you give us a budget and list everything you need, that way people can spec you systems, and you choose which one you'll prefer. :)
