1.3TB+ drives, anyone know when they are expected?

Has anyone heard when manufacturer's plan to be releasing the next set of hard drives beyond 1TB?
As the last jump was from 750GB to 1TB I am guessing they will be 1.3-1.4TB in size?

The main reason is that I want a proper 1TB partition for storage, and a 200-300gb partition for Windows and programs (in RAID1 of course )

It'd probably work out cheaper having 4 drives, 2x320gb and 2x1tb with one of each mirroring the other in Raid1 than going for 2x 1.3tb drives.

A good point, however 4 drives would be noisier than 2 and I am trying to go super quiet in future builds.
Plus with two 1TB drives I would always look at the 931gb that shows in Windows and think in disappointment "almost but not quite 1tb"

The 1TB drives haven't been out for long so I think 'a while' is about as good as you're going to get.

I was afraid it would be the case, I guess we are looking at sometime in 2008 rather than late this year then?
