hi all i got a small query im hoping someone will be able to help me out with:

700035672

got charged £1.50 for a text to that number, said i made the text message at around 12:30pm today. now i havent made any texts from my phone at all today. so is it possible for someone to pull a scam like this?

that number makes no sense to me either. never seen a number like that before. hopefully someone can help identify if its something fishy or if just me making a mistake.

thanks

phone up your provider and contest it, they are shockingly bad at actually running their premium rate text systems to its pretty likely they messed up.

im with T-Mobile. using a pay as you go system. i think i may as well ring them up and find out more about that text message.

i just rang up one2one, very helpful guy on the phone, here is the information:
i got charged by some company called:

Zamano Dating company
and the guy gave me a contact number for them: 08452252244

and the time the message was sent was 1 hour ago, which is very sly since the phone has been sitting on my table all day with no one else having access to it.

the resolution is that the one2one guy put a Bar on the account now so that no 3rd parties can make charges to my number, and i cant send anything to 3rd parties that will charge, but all my regular calls and texts to friends and families etc all will work fine.

cant be asked to call that zamano company up since i expect all that will happen is that i will end up wasing time and they will run me around in circles clocking up an even higher bill.

just though i would give others a heads up, keep an eye on these sly texting companies.

I had £11 of unathorised billing messages to my phone a couple of years ago. What had happened is someone had tried to download a ringtone from a premium website and put my number in (instead of theirs i'm guessing) and when the text didn't come kept hitting refresh...

Left o2 in the end as no one would refund me
