So if I was to buy those monitors on the previous page, they would be no use for the 1060 I'm planning on getting?

correct. you'd have to buy a gsync monitor to use with an nvidia card.
unfortunately nvidia likes to charge a premium, so you'd see gsync monitors £100-150 dearer than their freesync equivalents

You can run the freesync monitors, such without the sync tech - just don't the full feature

Thanks for getting back to me, unfortunately not yet, I've been waiting for the right time, as I have noticed prices slowly starting to drop.

Still not convinced, I feel I need a system around £850//£900 that can have World of Warcraft: Battle For Azeroth perform very well, without having to pay over the odds.

New expansion takes a bit of horse power now , 2400G would cut if processor wise, 1600/2600 being better but 1050ti level or above would be recommended
