10,000rpm vs. 2x7200pm in RAID

Hi all,

What will be faster? One WD 10,000 RPM hard drive or two striped 7200rpm drives in RAID?

Two striped drives, though the 10k rpm drives will have faster access times.

Hi Jokester, how do you mean?

My two possible configurations are:

1x 10,000rpm raptor, SATA150
2x 7,200rpm, SATA3Gbps

The two striped 7200rpm drives will have a faster sustained data transfer rate, but the 10000rpm drive will have faster access times (more important when dealing with multiple small files).
