Obviously we all have different rating scales, so here's my criteria for this thread.

1) ONLY 2 films. I have many 10/10 films, as we all do, but name only 2 for the purposes of this thread.
2) You need to have watched the film a lot of times (maybe 10!) :D
3) Give a reason or two, ideally.
4) Provide IMDB links if possible

Inside Man

Denzel. Stacked supporting cast. I love Heist films. Chiwetel and Clive representing the U.K. Denzel.

Back to the Future

Nostalgia. DeLorean. 88mph. Great Scott. The Power of Love.

Not going to be surprising ones but:

Aliens

The character development, immersion and atmosphere is all top notch and one of the few movies I can rewatch - it also aged extremely well unlike a lot of other movies of that era which now either look extremely dated or the acting, etc. shows its age.

Lots vying for second but I think I'll go for any of the original Lord of the Rings movies as they were made with such passion and pulled off what few movies can in terms of bringing a big epic to life in a way which does it justice.

Aliens and Terminator 2.

Both sequels oddly.....

I know you said 2 so the above are my official answer, but Top Gun is a close third.

Those 3 movies are literally my only 10/10 movies, I have a fair few 9/10 but 10/10 you are basically saying it's perfect to you, and I don't give that easily.

This is correct for me and I haven’t given a movie 10/10 as there is some aspect in my favourite movies that I feel could have been done better.

I'll go with Pulp Fiction 9.5 and Goodfellas 9.5

Predator
Pure 80's muscle bound brilliance. Buncha elite operatives led by Arnie go into the central American rainforest to rescue a buncha muppets who have vanished only to find themselves being hunted instead. Great cast, great lines, lots of firepower and probably my most watched film ever.

Jaws
I love sharks me. I like sharks eating dumb hoomans. Every moment of this film is iconic.

Mine is Once Upon a Time in America.

I have watched this multiple times, despite its length.

Just everything about this film feels perfect to me, and I would point out how well it portrays a point in time when things were different.

The soundtrack is constructed better than any other I can think of.

Now, I will point out that if this film were made today, then the misogyny and rape depicted in it would not pass scrutiny. However, as mentioned above, it reflects a specific point in time, a different era, and fits with the characters they are portraying.

For me no film can be 10/10.

The closest I have to that are my top 4 films.

The Terminator
Paris, Texas
Once Upon a Time in America
Amadeus
