Hmm, that is an issue. Will you be going back to CCC?

I suppose Time Machine has a heavy novice slant (just look at the interface) and could do with some more powerful options. But at least it does the job and the data is there to be restored which is the most important thing. Just takes longer.
 
I thought you do a full restore from Time Machine by booting off the Leopard DVD?

Yup, you can. It'll just reinstall Leopard and then put all backed-up files into it's original place, with all preferences set back. A slightly longer way around to a simple CCC - remove and write over with existing drive data to restore.

I think it is great since you can view the files/folders before you decide to restore them. :)

Also you could do a fresh install of leopard and then restore your applications and documents. The best of the both worlds I guess!

Yes, it takes longer but hey, it's a lot easier than Windows!
 
I'm starting to think it may be about time to go to leopard. I may wait for another update first but realistically once we hit december I would have thought they'll not be looking to cause a support call increase over that period.
