10.6.5 Out

Does anyone notice their MBP "sleeps" noticeably faster when closing the lid since 10.6.5?

Can't say I do, but I always use a program called Smartsleep which configures my machine to sleep quickly, unless it has low battery. More info at http://www.jinx.de/SmartSleep.html

Had few problems with this update with applications not closing properly after it was installed, (leading to my Mac Mini not being able to shut down cleanly as well).

Pulled down the full download version and reinstalled from that and all seems fine now.
