10.7 drivers

These drivers reek of fail I play Borderlands a lot and the patch notes mentioned some performance gains so I thought great will try these.

what a mistake if I had read to the bottom of the patch notes I would noticed the line about these drivers now causing Borderlands to BSOD.

Ati gives with one hand and bitch slaps you with the other like always with there drivers.

They need to learn the best hardware in the world is no good if you use trained chimps to program the drivers.

Using 10.7s and never had one bsod in Borderlands or any game.

Maybe you have some files leftover from another old installation? if you used Driver Cleaner that probably cause issues too.....try reinstalling them.(i do remove from control panel way rather than install over just to be 100% sure though install over works always apparently if you updating the driver, not reverting to a previous version.)

are you using 2 GPU's? thats where most problems seem to occur

Not they don't, 10.7a drivers are fine DarkWhisper, I'm using HD5870 CF and no crashes here.

Game compatibility is still not perfect and never will be but better than 10.4 at least.

Almost every single game I have causes hard lock with any driver after 10.5a. This has to be crossfire and it is widely reported across the net. I am switching to a 5970 soon and will be sticking with 10.5a unless they sort it out in 10.8

Used 10.4a/b, 10.6 and 10.7 no problems with my 5970, 10.6 gave nice performance gains for me, 10.7 didn't make it any worse (well increased vantage mark by 4 points!)

Finally changed to 10.6 after 10.7 crashed constantly from GRID to ArmA 2, to Alien Swarm. Would just get a black screen and then the fan would go into turbo mode. Put 10.6 on and not had a problem since.

theres memory leakage issue with borderlands and the 10.7's as well

I've experienced this issue, fills my RAM (All 6GB!) in 20 minutes or so, then freezes.

I'm on 10.7, but reading the Borderlands forum it seems that the issue has been around since before 10.7 was released.

I'm hoping they fix it soon! :(

10.6-10.7 : I get black screen for 10-30 second in bfbc2 with crossfire 5850 and my current 5970.

installed 10.5a last night but havent try it on any games yet.
