It is £10.79 only while pre-order is on. Once it is officially out you are looking at whopping £12!

SO not only is it already a complete rip-off but get this, some of the new maps are actually just maps copied from COD4 HAHAHA

I'll stick with the stock maps i think.

Blimey. Soon you'll only be able to buy a game with a man running around a flat desert. Guns will be available via DLC. As will maps. And other players.

I saw that earlier with the Steam Update. Absolutely hilarious. Not only are they charging an arm and a leg for the game itself, they want the other leg for the DLC. The sad part is everyone will buy it and increase there profit margin even more. There is absolutely no justification for that price tag other than the fact there are enough morons out there who will pay whatever they ask.

People buy it > business is happy because this works > precedent is set thus continuing the trend. They will only stop doing this when people stop buying this and that's not going to happen, all those of us who care can do is just ignore this.

This is just it though, things are worth what people are willing to pay them. As long as there are people willing to pay it then why wouldn't they charge it?

wait..so i pay a tenner for a set of maps...some of which i can get anyway in a complete game that i can buy for £9.99?....GENIUS

You're right, giving your customers value for money is just a ridiculous idea these days. Its much better to **** them over at every opportunity. MW2 was purely made to milk the metaphorical tit, charging such an obscene price for a DLC that modders would have made FOR FREE is a joke.

Im a fan of MW2 and ive defended it but i would have thought as a gesture to the PC gamers they would have given this for free or for a token price 2.99, something trivial . 10 quid is like flipping the bird at all of us.

Well of course from our perspective we'd like everything for free. I'd be curious to see what kind of sales this gets, I'd expect we really are in the minority, in which case why should they give us "value for money" when they can cater to the majority of their target audience and make more money? They're hardly ******* them over. just putting a product on the market with an acceptable value that their fanbase will buy it at.

What a complete and utter joke. Seems to be no value in it at all.

A notable DLC I reckon is Borderlands' "Secret Armoury of General Knoxx", the amount of play value I got out of that with friends has been immense, and I'm still not done with it.
