Ok ok, so its a sport i suppose...

How much do people pay for this now adays?

place where im going next month is £5.90 unlimited bowling between 10am and 4pm

seems to good to be true?

Yeah thats a good price, at my centre we charge £22.50/hr or £3.80/game, no unlimited! Alleys are usually dead around those times anyway but make sure there isn't a limit in the small print. Sometimes alleys will say "unlimited bowling up to 2hours" or something along those lines. Either way, its a good deal!

Oh and damn right it's a sport! I always work up a sweat, but that's because I'm L33T

That seems very cheap, when I went in Watford recently it was £4.20 a game or £9 for three games.

I suppose the cheap 10am - 4pm thing is to try and use the capacity when it’s usually pretty empty, most customers will go in the evening or weekends.

yeah, thats my thoughts too

Yup, unlimited is definitely the way to go, soooo much cheaper than pay per game.

The places I know that do unlimited normally include some or all of the following small print clauses...

Only available Mon-Fri during term time.
Minimum number of 2 players per lane.
Dependant on availability (good all purpose get out clause, if it is busy then they can just say no).
Minimum number of guaranteed games = 3 (Once you have paid and started playing, you can be asked to stop after completing 3 games but not before).

However, I have taken advantage of unlimited offers at 3 or 4 places a number of times over the years and have never once been refused or stopped early (unless you count the time I forgot it was half term!).

Yeah I just went recently and it was £3.80 per game, couldn't get student discount because it was in the afternoon! But its always a good laugh, but it was kiddies holidays so there was lots of families about so it was quite hard to get a lane :)

We went to our local bowl in lowestoft on saturday night, and there were 12 of us over 2 lanes. We had 2 games, and in total it cost 6 pounds per person to play. (not including the obligatory drinks of course)

Hollywood bowl? Woodside Leisure park? ;)

Last time I went bowling I walked it and walked out 2 minutes later after seeing the price.
Money spent on pizza hut next door was much better value :p
