I watched it for a while when I was younger.

In 'my day' it was Triple H, The rock, Stone cold steve austin, Mankind, The undertaker, Kane, Big show, Edge and the hardy boys etc

Same here. I wasn't hugely into it, though, but that's the era I remember.

I just told my wife about the article, she said no1 has to be macho man!
It's great being married to a woman who likes wrestling lol

She sounds like a fine woman; glad we agree on the #1 spot!

Jim Duggan did surprise her when she heard the list though :p

You need to do best outfits now. No1 surely would be legion of doom!

wrestling is gay? sure there are many known gay wrestlers. but i dont see either of you two doing anything like this.

nothing wrong with scripted entertainment...

I have to wonder if the same people that complain about wrestling being fake also go to watch movies and complain that its all fake as well.

Jim Duggan was a joke entry really as I said above. I was commissioned to write the article so someone else came up with the title. It's proven quite popular, though: approaching 500 facebook likes, woot!

As someone who grew up watching professional wrestling, especially the 90s, and who still has a cupboard full of toy wrestlers, old event tickets, annuals, magazines and everything else wrestling, I have to post in this thread.

Undertaker is the best.

I'm also fortunate enough to have stood next to Giant Haystacks, nearly at his peak weight - he was a big, big guy! They billed him at 650 lbs.

I used to play wrestling with my friends as a kid. We had entrances, video, music - was really good fun! We had hardcore matches, too. I once hit a friend with an iron coal holder, and the pain was definitely real :D

And err Keates if you'd just mind telling us which team you bat for :p

Hey, I used to play wwf when I was younger. I'm very straight thanks, sweetie x

Please don't hotlink, as much as I think Ric Flair rocks. ;)
sorry - would i need an imageshack file?
i did the best i could... honest
:D

that is all.

You must remember this then:

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Children of all ages. Degeneration X proudly brings to you its WWF TAAAAG TEAM CHAMPIOOOOOOOOONS OF THE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORLD! The Road Dog Jesse James! The Bad Ass Billy Gunn! The New Age Outlaws!

And when Cactus Jack came back I literally jumped out of my seat :o

I was 18 at the time :(

I watched a few of these vids and found them comical to say the least but back in the day it was fantastic!

The names I recall are The Undertaker, Brett The Hitman Hart, British Bulldog, Big Bossman, Earthquake & Typhoon, The Bushwhackers, Randy Savage, The Legion of Doom, Jake The Snake Roberts etc.

Those were the days

You must remember this then:

I do! I vaguely remember Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks, but the mid-late 90s were when I was 'into' wrestling in a big way. I still have a folding chair from Wrestlemania X8 downstairs. I went to XX too but the appeal was already waning by then and I don't really bother now (though I did go to a TNA taping earlier this year).

Been to a few signings too though I'd have a hard time remembering who.
