Id guess to try calculate something you wil have to work out how many calories are going in!

3000 calories is about a 1lb in body fat.

So assuming you dont put on any weight on or lose any through diet.

It will take you 30 days to burn off 1lb of body fat, and nearly 14 months to burn off a stone.

and unless he stops eating totaly, he's going to put on muscle and gain that weight.

You can't expect results if you keep doing the same thing, your body will just get used to it, put some proper effort it and set some targets.

doing any exercise at night to loose fat is futile, you will only burn your stores of glycogen. Do exercise in the morning before you have eaten anything to burn fat. Or do a full session at the gym of lifting weights and then do cadio. either way works. cut out sugar as well.

Atkins is allright, but its never a permanant thing. you cant cut out carbs permantly. i eat shed loads of carbs, but there all things with a high glycemic index such as oats. wholegrain brea, and fruit. works for me and i've got the energy to run in the morning and go to work everyday.

The Atkins Diet is not a permanent thing, its just to get the weight off. You then increase your carbs to a level where your weight stabilizes. :)

One pound of fat is 3600 calories so one stone would be 50400 calories and that means about 168 hours! :D

Eat a healthy diet and keep up the work and eventually you will lose the weight. Of course, you need 2500 calories a day just to live so in reality it doesn't really take that long to lose the weght. Make you think though.

Oi fatty, yes you, the lardy one at the back, put down that choccy bar! :p

Smaller portions of good food seems sensible to me. Balanced diet, less sugar and fat, more carbs and vitamins, smaller portions of good food, more exercise, more water and sleep. Easy :)

hi.....the atkins im not really in to doing that, ive seen some shows on tv where people have got ill from it?.....i think more of a more sensible eating and excersise....have to say ive enjoyed the bit ive done as i feel as if im doing something.....in the last 9 months ive lost 4 stone but a lot of that was from depression of work :( but now happy at work again id like to eat sensibly and excersise and see results of getting back to how i was when i was younger, well built but SLIMMER :p

i am 6ft 5 so i dont look bad but would like to get rid of the excess and feel better :D
