a vegan diet is good as there is no cholesterol in it.

Sounds like some drivel quoted off the PETA site.

Dietary cholesterol is not the same as cholesterol in the blood, it is perfectly fine to eat foods containing cholesterol, even human breast milk contains it.

Exactly, foods like prawns and lobster for instance have high levels of cholesterol but isnt actually bad for you. Its the food with saturated fats that makes your body create the cholesterol which is bad for you.

I've not heard of this "peta" of which you speak, but vegetables don't contain cholesterol.

The point he was getting at is eating cholesteraol isnt bad for you like having a high cholesterol level in your blood via eating saturated fats.

Which is one reason I reccomended a vegan diet, most of the saturated fat people eat is from dairy products and meats. However dietery cholesterol does increase blood choloesterol.

Vegans make me angry.

*n

Me too.
I've got relatives who were Vegans and they forced their views on their first son and he's still suffering to this day (he's a real weirdo). When he was about two and ill, the doctor found out what they were feeding him and he threatened to get all the big boys involved and remove the child. They learnt their lesson and the other 3 kids eat normal.

Gah I can't believe parents would force their baby to be a vegan! A decision like that should be voluntary. Babies should get everything they need, be it from animals or not. They have no right to risk their child with their close-minded views.

Dont get obsessed with calories or the amount of weight you've lost as you'll only put it on eventually. At least that's what happened to me.

In the past 3 years i've lost 2 stone, only found out a few weeks ago. Use to be a 38" waist now I'm 33". I don't watch what I eat, I dont' exercise any more than I use to. I simply don't eat as much and always have a pint of water 20-30mins before every meal, usually find I don't feel as hungry by then. No idea why, seems to work though and the extra water makes me feel great :)

if u eat 250 less calories than your recommened daily intake for your BMI then you will lose 1/2 lb in a week.

500 less per day = 1lb lost
1000 less = 2lb lost

any more than that is dangerous really.
dont go below 1100 calories a day or your body will go into starvation mode and not burn any calories at all.. and pile on the pounds as soona s u eat again. so thats bad.

good luck mate!
