Would have Vampire Survivors and 20 Minutes til Dawn but they keep adding more achievements, and not gotten round to them.
2000+ hours on Path of Exile... impressive! ive tried it a couple of times as i sounds like a game i would enjoy, but after about 30mins i turn it off and never go back!

I've rarely been bothered about hunting down achievements in game, so despite having a Steam account with a bunch of games on it, I've not done 100% on any single game yet.

Might change that some time, but I am also not that bothered if I do or don't, I suspect I would do so for a game that I really liked and wasn't too much of a stretch. I hate pointless "run around and collect stuff" achievements, or ones that require silly mechanics to get them.

For games I mostly just do the main story stuff, if I like the game enough I'll throw in side stuff until I get bored.

Wow you guys have put some serious hours in some of these games!

I’m not sure why but i always found it more entertaining getting platinums on the playstation than 100% on the pc despite the fact i much prefer playing on the pc. Just something about how playstation handles them is so pleasant for me.
I know what you mean, I've put it down to the satisfying ding! you get when you get an achievement. Steams beep when one pops just doesn't hit the same

Finished the story of the Lego Incredibles with my son this afternoon, just had a look and we got most of the achievements naturally and only have about 9 left until i 100% it. Just wondering if i give it another session just to finish it.

yeah that ding genuinely is serotonin inducing!

had a look on my steam and i’ve got quite a lot of 80+% but i’m not sure i will ever bother to actively try to close those off.

Maybe one day but right now work takes the majority of my time and the vast majority of my thinking capacity. So on the rare occasions i do play i just want to play the game any not think about much.

I find them utterly pointless and just fluff to try to pad out the play time.

No one's going to look at my stats in awe. I'm not going to look back at them in years to come with pride. When I meet a player, I don't rush to rifle thorugh their profile to see what achievements they've got. I'm not going to remember running around finding the last tiny little thingy. I'd rather just use that time to experience a new game.

Yeah I ignore them mostly as well, cool if one dings when I'm just playing, but I hate the idea of forcing myself to play something in a certain way to get achievements.

I did like trying to do a lot of the EU4 ones though, they give you goals for the campaign (start as X nation, do Y thing). I liked the direction it gave me to work towards more than just picking a random nation to play with no specific purpose.

I did 100% Just Cause 2. But that was a joy to play around in, so it was no chore to extend my playtime. That said, I do remember that the final search for a tiny little grey item with a red band on it to destroy to complete the last city took a stupid amount of time! Knowing that it was the last one though, I couldn't bring myself to not persevere.

Such a massive shame that JC3 and JC4 never seemed to hit the same as JC2, although I couldn't put my finger on what they were lacking.

Yep that's the situation I'm largely trying to avoid! :D

By not really focusing on achievements too much, I don't get caught up in "must finish the achievements" on the games I play.

Saying that, it's more interesting if you at least enjoy the game a lot. If I get a game I really get sucked into one day I may pursue them if there aren't too many achievements left to get.
