A friend of mine is looking for a digital camera for around £100, he’s obviously no enthusiast and would just like a decent camera capable of talking pictures he can then upload to his PC, the last time I looked at Digital Cameras the spec’s were the same as most Sony phones now so any advice appreciated!

Cheers

PS I’d also guess styling is as important as mega pixels!

try looking at the fuji f40 8.3 mp got my mum one last week for £116 delivered solid build quality and awesome quality photos on auto mode and easy as you like to use has many other features like face tracking lion-li rechargeable battery and loads of auto shoot modes etc etc impressive little camera imo

Try the Casio's mate - after trying lots, i've found their the best for pick up and shoot cameras

Ath that price point (or any other really) digital cameras are all much of a muchness there are few if any with any truly standout features so your best bet is to pick the one you like the ergonomics of most from a decent quality brand. You really will struggle to buy a 'bad' compact digitial these days.

I've just bought the Panasonic FX12, can be had for under £100 online and is a great little cam, takes nice pictures and has no real picture problems like other small compacts. Panasonic are one of the few companies to have image stabilisation at a low price and I am told it is one of the better image stabilisations systems around.
