Hey, my HDD is always running at 100%, and i'm just wondering if there is any particular reason for this, or anything that generally causes this?

do you mean its constantly accessing?

it could be a lot of things, new install, how much memory you have?
whats running? anti virus programs, defragging...

I have 2GB ram, and the hdd is at 100% constantly according to Nvidia Monitor.

Also, ram usage is quite high, i only have MSN and Firefox running usually...

^Is it normal to have that many Svchost.exe's running?
Yes, most of the services listed in the Services part of control panel will run in their own instance of svchost.exe.

Going back to the disk question, do you know what the disk is accessing all the time? If you're running Vista the Performance and Reliability Monitor will tell you this. Is it obvious either audibly or from the access light tha the drive is accessing stuff constantly?
