Hey guys,

I'm just getting into PC gaming and would like some advice for a PC build with an average budget of around 1000£. I don't really know anything about PC gaming and a friend ask me to post here for advice. Additionally, I will add a maximum of 300£ for a screen and a keyboard. My current computer is so terrible that it is giving me cancer....Please help a patient in need :)

I would like the PC to run most current games at good fps and allow graphics of high quality.

Thank you so much guys,

Matt

vega 56 - flash it with 64 bios for near gtx 1080 performance saving you £110. with a 144hz freesync monitor

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £1,320.38
(includes shipping: £14.70)

Wow thanks a lot guys, i will look into it and consider which one I take. Orbitalwalsh yours looks really nice tbh only thing is there is no SSD maybe I will swap the HDD for a smaller size one and include an SSD.

no worries , Lee's is the swing around nvidia graphics which is just slightly behind in terms of graphics power but does consume less power and is a custom designed cooler and a lovely 1440p screen. I have my 1070/80 to a 75hz non g-sync monitor but only do sim and RTS so its not to bad for me , just wish i had sync for faster hz when i do jump into FPS now and again.

Key to mine is flashing of the Bios since its extra performance for free. Check out Vega 56 Owners thread in the GPU section

also check what games your installing or have installed for how much disk space they take ! will fill up quick. why i tend to use small SSD for OS then games on HDD or if i've got the cash larger SSD 500gb/1tb range
