Looking to build a Ryzen build, mainly for general usage but I will be gaming too. Not many of the latest AAA games, probably GTA, older Total War games, Football Manager etc.

I do live the ability of having loads of tabs/programmes running in the background whilst being able to do something else

  1. Currently I have bought an Asus X470 Hero VII from a friend, mildly used, for £160
  2. I plan to build it inside a Fractal R6 TG case
  3. If budget doesn't stretch it, I'll use my current GPU, Raedon HD4850 for a while until maybe the next gen Nvidia GPU's drop and the second hand market is flooded
Thanks

in theory, should be pretty much the same , i know ryzen likes speed but timings also play a part. technically B-Die sticks like 8 Pack Dark Pro 3200hz cl14 are great and often work first time without a fault

Hmm so should I get the matter with 200mhz more but higher CAS? Are both sets Samsung b-die?

Looks good, but the timings are worse than the other kit I posted, where buyers have seemed to state it's samsing b die

if your not running data heavy programs such as geo-rendering of 4k/8k video rendering you wont notice to much difference in performance with looser timings .

theres a big different in the Dark Pro kit you've posted and @8 Pack version being his will ALWAYS be Samsung B-Die

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £428.68 (includes shipping: £8.70)

when you pull up the search above, its 8 Packs kit.

CL14 is the easier identifier to B-Die, but not always the case with the likes of Aorus RGB Ram being CL16

Cheers for your help.

So ultimately you're suggesting the Team Force Xtreem Set and to not worry about the timings?

Seems a good price, shame delivery is nearly a tenner on top :(

ease of use, 8 Packs hands down, one to save cash and dont mind tweaking then 3733hz kit and down clock to 3466/3400hz and play with ryzen ram calculator :)

no right or wrong answer - why i also tagged the big man in as well, but is a bank holiday
