£1000 Micro ATX build.

Consider BF4 a red herring. I used to play it but I don't think the buyer does. I was just stating what I remembered with the VRAM usage@1080. It won't be going over that resolution and by your own admission, 2GB is enough for it.

BF4 is also optimised for AMD but if the buyer isn't interested in BF4, where's the benefit of the extra 1GB of VRAM?

I know both cards are rehashed old tech based on the 7970 and 680 but the 770 seems to have slightly more grunt while the 280X has ample memory bandwidth and VRAM...which isn't necessarily needed at 1080.

Think of the components based around direct x and a broader range of games rather than mantle and the limited games that support it.

I'm still checking as I think the 770 has more computational performance but if you've seen a broad review that says it doesn't, I'd love a link to it. A lot of the reviews I've read target >1080 resolutions where the GPU would be easier to choose due to having enough VRAM. I'm stuck with choosing for a mundane 1080 monitor.

I've seen a couple that look good for airflow and build at the sake of looking not as good as the Prodigy M and Parvum S2.

In-Win BR665 and In-Win Dragon Slayer

I've heard good things about In-Win and the airflow looks great on these but I haven't checked a revew of them yet. While they don't look as good, their price point and build quality looks good. Any opinions on them?

(I love the look of the Prodigy M but I'm worried about the build with how cramped it looks and the Parvum comes at a premium price. With a compromise on the case, there's a bit more money for components.)

If my old In-Win case is anything to go by, those stock fans are pretty loud. How about this: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-083-AE&groupid=2362&catid=2226

Same price as a Prodigy, looks good, plenty of room for a big air cooler, and the airflow is pretty good with the vents on top.
