$10000 dell, dude!

I was waiting for news of this, now I can put my dreams away (it's US only and extremely expensive ;)) and get on with specing my new rig!

Val.

I was thinking the same whitefang... surely you culd build that machine for half the price... it looks decent but i could have something faaar nice sitting on my desk for 10k... :p ;)

This is asking for a fantasy 10k budged pc build-off imo.. someone start it! :D

10,000.00 USD = 5,735.74 GBP

Let's see if we can match that spec for less than that :D

It's Quad SLI isn't it? So you'd need to add two more cards, + whatever the Physx card is supposed to retail for.

The cards in the dell are odd. They are 4 seperate cards with 4 pcb's but with only two backing plates (4 connectors).

Yeah They seem to be stagared!... So only 2 of the Graphics cards have their connectors showing on the back of the case!?!...

Bit over the top considdering it'll be out of date the moment you unpack it!!!... and that 'Professional Paint Job' is a bit L-O-U-D!... :D

yup the best comparison I can think of is the SLI graphics card from a laptop. Two pcb's, two chips and only one back plate. They look very wierd.

Spending 10k on a pc is just silly. Especially as like you have said Simian it is pretty much out of date the moment it is unpacked.

Plus how dissapointed would a person be if they got it up and running and scored less than most people do with standard SLI graphics.

Well i've just ordered one, should be here in 3 weeks, will let you know what its like.

Just kidding.

I like my computers, but i'd rather by a car or put towards a deposit on a house than that.

Is that a Saitek Eclipse & Logitech G5 i see?

That will be 2 cards with 2 GPU's on each = 4 GPU's = Quad SLI

its not like that.
everyone must have seen QUAD sli pics?

as described above, 2pcbs for each card, in a father-daughter config. they are bolted together.
