Got around £1000 - £1100 for new system. Will be running it on a 24" monitor with Vista 64 bit and gaming a lot.

Will be getting it from Overclockers as they are just down the road from me.

Was thinking of one of these.

"Ultima OC 8800GTS SLI" Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz @ 3.00GHz+ Quad Core SILENT DDR2 System but with 4GB of Ram.
or
"Ultima OC 8800GTX" Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz @ QX6950+ 3.30GHz+ Quad Core SILENT DDR2 System but with 4GB of Ram. (probably too expensive)
or
Ultima OC 8800GT SLI" Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz @ 3.00GHz+ Quad Core SILENT DDR2 System but with 4GB of Ram.

Not sure about the difference about difference between GTS and GT or if SLI is worth it.

If someone can recommend another, please do. Want to get value for money. Thanks for your help.

The "Ultima OC 8800GTS SLI" system looks like you're best bet with Vista Home Premium 64bit.

From what I read 8800GTS's perform very well in SLi and is a must if you are going to be gaming on a 24" monitor.

dont trust myself

Even though i might get a better cheaper system if i build it myself i've never done it before and don't really want to attempt to. Thanks for the advice though.

Currently using an 8800gts 512mb + Q6600 @3.6 here on air with a 24" monitor,,and must be honest no probs when overclocked, but the Q6600 @ std the system did not seem as good when gaiming on the 24" , i think the cpu must be helping the 8800gts 512 out a bit( if that is possible ) as i game at 1920x1200

I don't think any of the current games is using more than 1 - 1,5 core ;p even at full load.
And it will probably be like this for next 1,5 year or so.

I would pick wolfdale over quad anyday for gaming, Unless you are crazy about scores and want to pick 900quid extreme quad with 3gpus and 16gb ram ;).
