1000w psu recommendations please

The Vertex GX, just because 1. there's a decent review on it and 2. they extended the warranty by 2 years. Not super reasons, but eh

Is 1000w really necesssary even with a 4090?

It isn't. If you already have the psu, a 4090 can be run on a decent 750, but for a new build I'd go for 1000 for an XTX or 4090 build, just for the headroom and a bit of insurance.

Good choice, I have the same since getting my 4090. It's been a few months, had zero problems and it's very quiet.
