i can get the palit gtx 1050 ti 4gb for £132, is it a good card, i don't play many games but i like the new doom and id like to get sniper elite 4 soon, 1080p is fine for me too.

so is it a good buy? anything that can beat it around the same price?

thankyou for any and all help

I think it can sometimes depend on a specific model within a range/brand, otherwise, it tends to be mainly warranty/quality of components used & so on.

is there a particular 480 that is considered to be the best of the bunch.....

I'm not sure what is supposed to be the very best, but I consistently have read good things about these ones:

I can't remember which of those XFX models is supposed to be the top one, maybe the GTR?

Secondhand 970 980 or 980ti seem to be the better value been looking at some charts and even the non ti 980 seems to spank the 8gb 480.

guess i have some googling to do, i do like searching for parts n' bargains though :)

If you get lucky with the timing you could snap up a 980ti on the MM for £200, I wouldn't buy an RX480 brand new unless you must have a new card for peace of mind and RX480 used prices aren't much lower than new.
