1055T 95w

The BIOS on the Sabretooth is the best its so easy.

I have saved my 4ghz profile for when I really need speed.

I have now created my main profile which is 3.5Ghz on all cores at just 1.35 volts with a slight overclock on my memory and the northbridge at 250 - with LLC down 2 notches to high.

Next week I want to investigate turbo core options and what I can do with it but now I'm letting Windows Update run so I guess I'll be rebooting and running it again for a little while ;)

For anyone disapointed with Bulldozer I highly recommend the hexcore phenom 2's if you can't stretch to a sandybridge i52k. I paid £175 2nd hand for my Sabretooth 990FX and the 2.8ghz 95w 1055T it is an absolute bargain and seems much quicker in use then my old q6600. I'm also really pleased with the Gellid Tranquillo also - for £25 new from OC its an absolute bargain.

went down the same route personally, my Q6600 was starting to act peculiar and my board had two RAM slots fail so decided to go for an AM3+ board, got a 1055T for ~£75 that had never been used, though it was only OEM that wasn't a problem due to water cooling. they are good chips, plenty of tweaking options available and you can find some real gains in performance, currently running at 4.0GHZ at 1.5V with no issues and also seems a lot faster than my Q6600 which it replaces. :)

Edit: also originally my case was cluttered to hell, then I discovered the magical world that is modular power supplies, and never looked back since!

Starting to wish I had spent more on the PSU and gone modular and gone for a 700w so I would be good for a crossfire setup in the future and wouldn't have such a compressed cable setup - damn my penny saving tactics...mind you I prefer single card setups for the electric cost saving

My Lian Li v1000 case with upside down motherboard position. Could be tidier with FDD cable and additional USB showing. PSU is a Seasonic 600w modular X series.
I have since added a pull fan to the TRUE and gone from HD5830 to HD5850.
