Hi Chaps,

I recieved my pre-built "Titan Decimator" AMD Phenom II X6 Six Core 1055T 95W Edition 2.80GHz @ 3.80GHz DDR3 System yesterday, it is all setup, but I am having problems. The system came overclocked, however, I seem to be having problems with the overclock. When I load the computer up, most of the time nothing at all comes on the screen, this happens around the first 3-5 times, then after the sixth or so time of doing this, I get the following messege:

"The system has experienced boot failures because of overclocking.

Last setting in BIOS setup may not coincide with current H/W states.

Current CPU Speed : 14.5 x 200MHz
Current Memory Speed : 1333MHz
Current HT Speed : 2000MHz

Press <DEL> key to enter BIOS Setup or press any rest of keys to continue."

If I hit any key, I can normally get into Windows 7, and do whatever it is I want to do, i.e. watch youtube, have not tested any games as none are installed yet.

If anyone has any solutions to this problem, I'm eager to try, I don't really want to send it back to Overclockers, as I am eager to get this fixed while I am off work.

Cheers,

Steve.

EDIT: I can try and get a screenshot of the BIOS (blue screen) using my mobile, it this will help at all.

UPDATE: In addition, the PC often does not load up i.e. no screen image, and on the 4% chance it does load up, sometimes it freezes within the first 4 seconds, in the middle of processing, just before the option comes up to enter BIOS. I don't think there is much I can do without going inside the computer, which I am extremely reluctant to do as I don't know much in-terms of hardware, hence why I got an overclocked machine, as I know very little about the whole process.

Sounds like the overclock isn't quite stable from a cold start and reverts to a stock speed. You'd expect a full system to be fully stable as all the components were sourced to work together.

Speaking to ocuk about it would be the best bet.

Send it back and let them sort it out, if they built a unstable system for you then its their job to get it right free of charge ofc :)

I have sent a webnote via the forum, so probably not going to get a response until tomorrow. Will give them a call first thing in the morning, tried re-loading the pre-set OCuK to no avail, the F12 option. Still no nearer to a solution.

EDIT: Yup, I think your right, probably better letting OCuK take it and have a look. I just want to play on my PC tho! lol.

Yup will do guys. The unfortunate thing is I am away on holiday on the 4th of September for two weeks, and it is likely my PC will not be returned within the next seven days, so there will be know-one at home available to receive the order when it gets re-delivered. Then when I get back I have a 3rd year induction week at uni, so going to be very busy for the next month. I ordered the system on the 17th, so I'd get from the 19th until the 04th for free 100% gaming heaven, but my gaming period looks like it isn't going to happen. Grrrr!

What I will probably end up doing is ringing up first thing tomorrow, explaining the situation, getting a refund, and get another system in 6 weeks or so. I can't justify holding onto this system as of now, as I simply will not have the time to play it bar 30 minutes here and there, in addition, I can most likely purchase a better system for the same price in 6 weeks time.

EDIT: Updated first post as problem is a little different now.

Ok, my hope has been renewed!

I got a message from the OC team:

"Please enter the motherboard intelligent tweaker page in the bios, and scroll down to HT frequency and reduce this by one notch by pressing the minus key on the keyboard, then scroll down to cpu voltage/vcore and press the minus key twice please then press f10 to save and exit with changes and this should solve your issue."

The only problem is the computer will not let me into BIOS, it either A. Does not load up, or B. Freezes about 4 seconds into when the computer boots up. I.e. in the middle of loading a word. Is there anyway I can get into BIOS at all? Or is it a lost cause, and still just phone up tomorrow and send it back?

All sorted! Somehow Windows 7 decidec to run a memory check, then a systems check automatically. After not finding a problem, I was given a screen with 5 different options, was something like, run a scan, auto recover, run memory test, something else, and run command prompt. So, I decided to try and find a command to run BIOS from DOS. However, I had no luck, and decided to restart the PC. It didn't work, so I restarted the system again, having given up at this point. To my dismay, I was able to get into BIOS, have no idea how, but I was not complaining! So I changed the settings to the settings the OCuK tech recommended, and magically it worked. To the point where I am typing this on my new machine! All in all a very happy chappy atm. Thanks for the replies guys! Growing very fond of this community :)

Ok, still having a bit of a problem here, as in I can play and get on the PC, but it just freezes, i.e. through the 3D Mark tests, but strangely, sometimes on a very medial task i.e. getting onto the internet, loading the PC up, or even in the BIOS screen. I have sent a webnote to OCuK, so they shoud get back to me on Tuesday. Previously they told me to turn the Voltage up by 2, and HT Frequency down by 1. The PC worked much better and is far more reliable, but still crashes.

I was hoping to get a few ideas of what could be wrong with the system, then try and manually correct it, as I want to have a gaming session tomorrow lol. The following system info is as follows:

Is there anything out of the norm here, the system is supposed to be stable at 3.80Hz.

It you just want it to work for a session tomorrow, just set it to defaults. In the longer term, I guess return to OcUK.

The clock speed at 800 is due to the multi dropping to X 4 as there is no load & is normal. From those cpuz images the northbridge and HT link are massively underclocked compared to default (both should be @ 2000). Try going into Bios & setting everything to default if you want to try to get it stable for tomorrow but as others have said send it back to OcUK to sort out the stability of the overclock as the cpuz shots are showing settings that are completely wrong for an overclocked system.
