Sister in law has a 106 of some sort, a fairly old one and looks like;

Anyway apparently a while ago the alarm kept going off every time she locks + alarms it, so shes just been locking it for the last few months. Now the car wont start at all and she thinks its the alarm/immobilizer causing it as there is no battery light or anything just a clicking noise when you turn the key. Changed battery so not that..

Any ideas how to disconnect the immobilizer for here or any ideas what else it could be?

IIRC, the imobiliser is in the passangers footwell and its a case of shorting out two wires, friend had to do it with his ex's 106 after it developed some faults like yours, i will try and get more info.

It's a common problem with the 106 unfortunately. Now I don't know the why your car has suddenly decided to not start but if your sister wants to lock her car without the alarm going off then just tell her to press and hold in the small button on the right of the steering column, above the ignition, for a few seconds. The red alarm led will now light up and stay lit. This means that the alarm sensors have been deactivated and she can happily lock and immobilise the car with no problems. I have got into the habit of doing it everytime I leave the car now.
