****ing massive. Went titan to 1080 and it was absurd. Most games I went from medium to max settings with a small frame rate gain.
If that was going to be the first reply then I think I could have closed the thread and say right, ordered

Yep didn't happen, apparently their won't be any deals on this card. I am pretty broke now and will have to wait till next payday to get the 6700k but it's worth it.
what do you have now? I have a 3770k and I can feel the chugging in cpu bound games. Thinking of upping to 6700k too
I would wait for Kaby Lake to arrive and then see if the 6700k goes down a bit. I picked mine up a few months ago because my old board and chip died and it was one of the best chips available at the time (Was originally going to wait for Zen, to see if it was worth it). I got mine for £305 from this very boutique but I believe they are nearer £330-£340 currently.
Rumours starting to pop up about Zens SR7 (Top End) chip being able to compete with 6850 but for around $300 on 17th January 2017. Surely that must be worth the wait, just to see if it's true.
[email protected], I'm not expecting any performance increase maybe 5% or 10% when I overclock. Your CPU I should imagine a will be a bit better. Up to you if it's worth it. I'm only doing it cause I'm going to an itx size build and sold most of my parts and didn't lose too much money.
