Ok so its a new Benq V2210, I think its fairly recent so there's not much about it on google but if you search V2200 it is very similar, I can only seperate them by visual design

Anyway I have a 5850 also, can I do 1080p via VGA to this new monitor from my 5850, I'm assuming as were in 2009 that it should be perfectly capable but I'd like to check just incase I need to order a different cable cheers guys

You can use VGA but DVI is better from what most people say, and the cable only costs a couple of quid.

From what I've heard its not noticeable, who knows, anyway the monitor only has HDMI or VGA

Im just making sure that a modern monitor is capable of accepting 1080p over VGA

If you got the VGA cable with the monitor, a new HDMi cable won't give any difference. The difference can be found between a low quality VGA cable and a DVI cable though.

Texts ae distinctively sharper in Digital than in Analog. Movies remain the same.
