just wanted to put it out there for the moderators to maybe answer...will we see any type of price drop on 1080ti's anytime soon as these cards are over 2 years old now but still seem to be well above stock prices and i would love to purchase one,the reason i ask is because the newer 2080Ti's are so over priced you would think that mining with graphics cards was still a thing...i noticed that OC are doing some great AMD card offers and some half decent 20 series offers but those oh so hard to purchase 1080ti's still seem to be made of diamond

so any news on a price drop at all

thanks a bunch

p.s. the reason i ask is i am seeing them online in other places for between £559 - £709 whereas here at OC they start from £799 upwards to £899

Nope, if anything prices will stay as they are / rise.

nVidia are no longer producing 1080ti's so what's out there is it and demand still seems high.

thanks for the reply...i am seeing them lower elsewhere but would much rather give my money to OC because the forum and shop are so cool...but the prices are just a little too high in comparisson

OCUK prices are good for some things, not so for others - as are most stores.

Find one at the price you like and purchase it would be my advice.

If you don't mind, second hand, then pick one off the bay for approx £500.00, thats what I did.

If you want new, then the 1080ti is not worth considering, just buy the 2080.

Nope.

You were all warned when I did the Gigabyte Black OC at £579, that was the lowest and it would only go up from that point on, some choice not to believe this, they were wrong, those cards are now £900 and still selling. :)

1080 and 1080Ti is EOL, we have lots of stock but the demand is huge for it so we now simply charge more to slow down the sales as not many places have 1080Ti any more, but OcUK still has several models in stock and hence why sales are so strong even at high prices.

There is only one 1080Ti still sub £600 and thats a 1080Ti MIni at a competitor, its a deal we did not take because it was a Mini and to sell with profit we would need to sell at above £579, so to us it made little sense, I see the competitor is already selling with no profit, no doubt because they had them in stock for over 30 days so they need to move it because aged stock and turn in to cash, at £560 its an OK buy so I suggest going for that as we won't be reducing our prices to anywhere near that, but in fairness our cards are not Mini cards but full blown OC cards. :)

what's funny is i was just watching 'the best 1080ti's of 2017' by steve from gamers nexus and the prices were on point anywhere between $700 - $850 only one year ago....now the prices are even higher even after the mining craze has died down...seems a little odd to me

Simple supply and demand really, even without mining people want these cards, I think that's partly down to the issues the RTX cards are seemingly having. Demand will die down soon enough, but there won't be anything left really.

supply and demand, due to RTX been a fail, demand for 1080ti is super high.

To the OP not sure why you waited, the cards stopped been manufactured and the price was only ever going to go up. If you didnt have the cash on hand should have grabbed on finance or something.

You really are a fool to buy the GTX1080ti at the prices they are at. Its ironic on Cyber Monday how the prices are now higher than ever before. They were a rip off at £600 given that they are old tech let alone the silly prices they are now. In a world of mental health issues effecting 1 in 4 people id be concerned the people paying these prices are actually of sound mind and OCUK should be concerned they are not miss selling.

If anyone is interested i have a Zotac GTX980ti which you can't buy anymore from anywhere. Ill give you it if you pay £1,200. Seems reasonable considering GTX1080ti now sells for more than RTX2080 by several hundred £££.

You can get an Xbox One S for sub £200 with several games right now. I wanted to upgrade my computer right up to date but the prices are so obnoxious this last couple of years that I simply cannot justify or reward this thieving behaviour. I just see more people giving up with pc as they are forced out to consoles.. Ill hold onto to my current system (which in all honesty plays everything fine) until newer tech comes out with hopefully more justifiable prices. Honestly the greed & gouging going on in the PC market as of late is so bad :(
