just started to overclock my 1090T , aiming for 4ghz if possible but what volts is needed for 4gig ? . at 3.8ghz i am using 1.375v prime stable , tried 4ghz @ 1.425 but it Bsod's under load

temps below for 3.8ghz with the BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro CPU Cooler
room temp is around 24c , these temps anygood ?
also what is temp3 ?

temp1 = system temp
temp2 = cpu
temp3 = ???

temp1 is Motherboard
temp2 is CPU
temp3 is Motherboard Northbridge

My 1100 needs 1.425v for 4.0GHz. Just keep upping the vcore untill it's stable. Keep an eye on temps though, don't go over 62C on temp2. 1.55v is max, you'll probably need 1.45/1.475v. Depends on the chip really.

many thx for the info :) , out of interest whats the max temp for the northbridge ?

I don't know to be honest. Like yours, it runs about the same as my MB temp at idle and about the same as CPU temp under load. If it shot up way high I would be worried.

i am looking to get a better mobo tbh , this was one of the b-graded mobo's from ocuk . i would like a new board but am unsure which is best for overclocking tbh

You already have a solid board for OCing TBO, if you had to upgrade GA-890FXA-UD7 and Asus Crosshair IV are best of the best but I'd stick with what you have and work on the OC.
