Hope dons don't mind me posting in here rather than price checks because it's more of a specialist item.

I have a 10D, complete with box, battery and all the stuff that comes with it, it's in excellent condition cosmetically, but it has a problem, the shutter isn't working proper any more, you have to put more pressure / wiggle it for the soht to be taken, however, with a remote release, the camera works perfectly fine, i would obviously include this with the camera. I did get a quote to have the shutter fixed and my camera shop quoted me £60 to have it fixed, however i never got round to it and have now decided it'd be more economical for me to upgrade to a 30D / 40D if i can afford it so am happy to cut my losses. I paid £550 for the camera a couple of years ago and have probably taken around 5000 shots with it with some cracking results.

So what would it be worth?
thanks

Going by the 'bay, I'd say not much really.

Refurbed models sell for ~£235 from the Canon outlet on eBay, others as low as £200 for a fully working example. As yours is faulty, probably knock £50 off that price, maybe more, maybe less. Also, people may be confused and think the shutter mechanism itself is iffy, and just avoid it.

It seems almost tragic to let it go for peanuts, as it's still a damn good body. I'd at least get it repaired cheaply, or find a guide online (if you have the inclination to DIY). If not, keep it as a spare perhaps.
