£10K Scalextric

Then you'd need multiple controllers.

Not really, you just use a proper power supply where it all goes off that. At the club we use a large power supply for a server to give out the power. The track is powered at about 6 different places all directly fed from the power supply.

As much plastic as the girls? Maybe :D

why do both women on the right of the men look like richard branson in a dress?

Interested in how the thing was powered, cant see any extra wires, wonder if they did race around the full circuit ;).

Edit - Get yourself a Supra, brother just got one the other week, had to change the tyres for the club due to the silicon based tyres but other then that its stock. Not bad, not quick enough to keep with the proper GT cars but was a nice fun car, not the best brakes though.

NSX surely, much nicer than the Supras ;). Club racing is indeed fantastic, although the costs can mount up pretty quickly by the time you've changed the motor, rear axle, gears, braids, tyres .........

Found the Supra nice to drive really, if you want something fast you cant beat the Slot.It Audi R8. Seriously quick bit of kit that.

Oh yes people, don't forget to glue in bearings and motors. ;)

It's what proper club/national level racers use. :) Copper tape on a routed out wooden track, means the magnets don't work so it's purely down to your tyres. Means the cars don't snap like they do on flexitrack (plastic stuff) which makes racing much closer.

See I goto a Slot Car club (yes it's not called Scalextric! ) which is a 6 lane track also.

about 1989-ish I think it was. Did one round at wood green as well I think can't remember where the others were tho.

Its now the Quorn Slot Car Club's track, found in Loughborough. :p If you used it in 1989, you used it when it was only about 3-4 years old then! Remember anyone called Bob Bott? Tomorrow I will have a word with my brother, see if he can remember the guys name who built it.

Quorn, thats what it was called. It was in a building just off the road in the middle of nowhere iirc. I didn't have anything to do with the organizing of the events. Ask the oldest member of your club if they know Mick Potter.

Thats it, im leaving the forums. You knows its time to go when someone posts about scalextric and the first reply is "thats flexitrack"..

Flexi what? arrrrg! :p ;)
