10MB File Size Max in Emails

Install an FTP server on your network and open a port on your router until the transfer is done? Could just lob filezilla server on a random machine.

Most companies have a limit because otherwise people will just end up sending big file attachments which take longer to come through, and also they will use up a lot of available space on their mailboxes by keeping the attachments in the e-mail, in the inbox.

Then the admins would have the annoying job of going round having to do audits even more frequent because people are at their mailbox limit.

Large attachments are annoying, especially given how most users are normally near the limit on their Exchange mailbox quotas normally.

Surely the obvious thing to do is create an account for the client on your company's FTP site and upload it there?

Apparently, we are just dividing it into three different chunks and sending them through email...

I did suggest the Dropbox idea but they said it had already been done :p

If it's that much of a hassle I could provide some space on mine for you?

Thanks for the offer anyway bud :)

Google Sites (<20MB)
Microsoft Skydrive (<50MB)
Dropbox (not sure)

Will all allow quick and easy uploading and sharing of files. It may not look amazingly professional but it'll work.

Use 7zip and pick the Zip format in Ultra compression (Windows etc can still open it without needing 7zip)

PDF are pretty compressible

I know it's a paid service but the MobileMe shared-file thing has been a god-send for me. I've often had to send out a few hundred Mb images and stuff, and having the ability to upload and share out an explicit link to download - including password protection and expiry - has been brilliant.

10Mb restriction is fairly typical for corp email restrictions in my experience.
