im' finding swiftkey to be the worst keyboard i've ever used and its the only way i paid for. only 10p but my point being that it's supposed to be worth paying for compared to the free ones. it's constantly adding whole words in middle of texts and just plain rubbish

You do realise that you can customise it and then train it right?

It learns over time.

I'm not massively pleased with Swiftkey x either. I bought it for 10p and it confirmed at 10p. Then when the receipt finally came through I had been charged full price. Contacted them and they said it wasn't their problem and heavily implied I'd bought it at full price after the deal had ended and just didn't check. Strange that out of all of the 6 or 7 apps I bought on that day, it only happened with them. They didn't even reply to my follow up email. Can't recommend them and find their keyboard no better than average and certainly not worth £2.49.

Seems to work fine for me!

I've been training it for some weeks though at least and it seems to predicted and auto correct just fine as you can see in my video below :-P

does the stock ICS keyboard do multi touch?

It appears to, I just installed the proper port of it off the Market and it seems nice, the profile is lower than other keyboards too as is the prediction bar thinner which is nice. There's no option to change the long press delay though which I like and Swiftkey's gesture actions are missed as well. Maybe the dev will add it in time but so far it's true to the original ICS KB, well, it is a port so should be!

took a picture instead.

yuck. i know my typing may need improving but on others it's much better, i just.type.like.this.normally. now i get extra words and random naughty ness througout

Lies I did not see you yesterday or ever!!!

Also, looks like you're typing faster than it has trained itself to your typing style?

What prediction method is set in settings? Mine is set to rapid typing and current accuracy is rated at 25%.

Interesting as I was playing it all the way into work and lost less than 10% (roughly an hour or so of playing) which I thought was pretty good, phone is a sensation Z (something or other).

Also been playing sim city, now that really does suck the battery dry.

Maybe I just play it far too much then :D

swift key for me worked well with 2.2, but with ICS it doesnt use predictive text in many places.

Only really my old apps i have dragged over from my desire. Handcent and my email widget app

theres two ICS keyboards on the market mrk, I just tried the one by johntanmi and it's great, you can set levels of auto correct from modest to aggressive. Much prefer it to GB keyboard.

I just got slide it for 10p for my desire to replace swiftkey. I have got so used to the slide it type of keyboard on my work phone (sensation) that I just had to :-)

Looks like you have "spacebar will insert a prediction" or something turned on and don't know how to use it.

I have no idea how else you could mess it up that much

Swiftkey can take a bit of practice to use predictions efficiently, but it works very well for me. Though Swype is more fun :)
