£110 On a New GFX CARD

6870 over the normal GTX560! As in the link that says "here" in my last post is a link to the comparison of the 6870 and gtx560. The 6870 is as powerful as a gtx470!

Erm the version I would get is this.

Hawk is quite good, standard freqs are 780 (core) and 3800 (mem), mine is stable @ 880/4000 (it can be o'ced upto 920/4000, but it requires more voltage than usual + 50mV by MSI Afterburner). It's a GTX 470 efficiency :)
All depends on game & requirements, 2 core CPUs are not what decent games want exactly, as I think.
 
True, it is over the budget by £40, but it is the best version of the card going.

If he wants to stick to his budget or go just over it I would get this HIS version.

The 6870 is the BEST budget card out at the moment!
 
For that budget your naturally going to struggle to get any super power, but you should get medium/high settings in most games.

Maybe have a look at the second hand market? Probably some solid Radeon 5 series cards knocking around. I just sold a 5770 for £60 and that was a pretty capable card (especially for that price!)
