Guys is this new Intel CPU really that much faster ?

Intel's 11th-gen desktop CPUs could win gamers back from AMD | Engadget
The company claims the 11900K is a whopping 88 percent faster than the previous model when it comes to video editing,
as well as 35 percent faster than the Ryzen 9 5900X. At this point,
it seems like the speed improvements in 11th-gen hardware was worth the sacrifice,
but I'm waiting on third-party benchmarks for a final confirmation.

What does it mean by up to 44 pcie lanes on every CPU? They all have 44 and will be limited by the chipset or... ?

The CPU has 20 PCIe lanes. After that the remainder will depend on platform you socket it in with. z590 and z490 for example, the chipset has 24 Gen 3.0 PCIe lanes, hence where the 44 come from. However you can slot 11th Gen into a h570 board which only has 20 Gen 3.0 PCIe lanes so 40 lanes in all etc.

There will be some truth to this, one application in a very specific scenario where Intel worked with the developer to optimise for AVX 512 purely so they could say something like "Upto 88% faster" on their marketing slides.

This is how Intel operate, its why no one in the real world ever see any of their claims meet reality.

Absolutely true. The number may well be real but it will be some ridiculous, unrealistic setup only conceived to make this headline figure.
