I'm thinking exactly the same thing.
I'm grateful that I have experienced every major race, culture and religion and have friends from all. I feel extremely happy to be able to say with 100% honesty: I don't give a **** what colour my neighbours are.
Which is why statements like this simply make me laugh so much:
Maybe people like robgmun are the problem? Running away so they can be with mostly white people? Good riddance I say, because the white people left are the white people who can be my friends.

Fortunately Upminster is a haven, priced too high for the inner London spreaders. They jump the little band of Upminster/ Hornchurch / Emerson Park / Brentwood and go to Basildon / Laindon / Ockendon.
The rich Bangladeshi / Indian families could move in, but they seem to fancy Emerson Park atm.
One thing I will say, 14 years ago when I started secondary school you could count the number of black children on two hands in all 5 years. There were 9 out of 1000. By the end of my schooling it roughly doubled. Now when I walk to work, at a guess, it must be close to 50/50.

Romford and Upminster are two separate situations. In Grays we've had the white people from Romford move out, and even though their white they've made the place a disgusting area. Poor manners and 'wanna be nuvo rich'. That is the same issue you have in Upminster.
Upminster doesn't have a problem with immigration or ethnics moving into the are, and nor will it.

Personally I don't care about racist attitudes as the vast majority wouldn't make them known in public. It's the minority who cause problems. Everyone's allowed their views even if I find them distasteful. I didn't think this forum had any kind of rep.
I have walked down streets before possibly being the only "white" guy and received some looks but on the whole I couldn't care less.

- it's just n White English Tory OAP town Why is it that all the lovers of 'welcoming large range of ethnicities' always harp on about how great it is on the extra range of cuisine ? Is that the only bonus you can come up with ?
How about, how standards on education dramatically drop. Or how about how much more crime it brings to the area.

See it used to be a proper 'white English Tory OAP town' I can't fault that, but recently it's gone the way of Brentwood.
Another small town that used to be nice and has been ruined with the nuvo rich
These both raise serious concerns. The education one esecially. I wouldn't put the blame with immigration entirely though. Us white folk are inherently lazy and do not hold education with the same value as other races in society (e.g Asians both indian and chinese)
Might also be due to the fact exams are actually getting easier as well as the syllabus. Despite what people want you to actually believe. My experience may be limited from my own education and hearing it from my 5 mates who are teachers across varying age groups. But they agree, it's easier than when we were at school, atleast the exam format is. I see it at work to, especially with Maths. People who have A and A* at GCSE maths and struggle with percentages.
Mate the same thing happens with ANY ethnicity.
You get white chavs moving into new towns who ruin education and increase crime levels!

Hang on there, it must be quite upsetting to see folk arrive in your land who have very little understanding of our culture and a totally unrelated language yet they still do better in life than the holders of said views, imho the government should start a social fund to help losers.
They already have, it's called benefits!
