120 killed in Halloween stampede

I’ve been there, it’s a hip area with bars and restaurants. Full of students and young people. Most tourists will stay near there because it’s central.

Been there many times. I can see how it happened because there are a lot of tiny alleyways and one Main Street with few exits. Just awful.

What's worse is that apparently it was sparked by a rush to see some so called celebrity.

I've never understood some people's obsession with this, boggles my mind.

Yikes, I know health and safety can get knocked a bit and can be silly at times but damn! When it comes to big crowds, fire regulations and things of that nature you really can have horrific consequences when things go wrong. :(

At worst that I’ve experienced was at the front of the crowds in Glastonbury. When people push forward you just have to go with it and you have to stay on your feet no matter what. Also gets quite difficult to get fresh air with so many people close by.

Its horrifying, getting crushed like that is brutal. Literally pancaked between hundreds/thousands of people, when the crowd is more like a flow of liquid than actual people.

Scrolled into a bad video of this on reddit. Initially it was just showing how busy it was, next second it cut to the aftermath, bad bad **** :(
