120 killed in Halloween stampede

Initially reports are people rushed because of some famous YouTuber but that’s not confirmed yet. The street it happened in was very narrow and had a steep downward section straight after a 90 degree corner. People fell on the downward bit and those behind just fell on them and so on. It was then just a tangle of people on the downward section and people behind being squashed into each other and the walls around the street. Clearly crowd control measures were not being taken.

At worst that I’ve experienced was at the front of the crowds in Glastonbury. When people push forward you just have to go with it and you have to stay on your feet no matter what. Also gets quite difficult to get fresh air with so many people close by.

Yea, I've been in some insane crushes at Glasto, though the worse I've ever been in was at the front for GnR at Monsters of Rock. Utter carnage, you weren't even standing on the ground just other people's ankles, so when the crowd swayed you just moved with the current. People were freaking out everywhere, women crying, people getting yanked over barriers and two people were trampled to death, tbh it was surprising it wasn't more.

It was pre-mobile days, so when I arrived home my family came out crying, thinking I might have died as over the radio when reporting the deaths the description of the victims were they had long hair and wearing leather jackets....yea, that narrowed it down lol!
