<£1200 Build Spec / changes - final

Hi all,

PC built okay just waiting til get home to configure secondary hdd due to unallocated message etc.

Can the spec that I bought which stulid speccd be overclocked? And if the after market cooler etc is good enough for upping the clocks. Even if it's only mild.

Temps at the moment are 30s.

A quick thing to do would be enter the BIOS and alter all four Turbo boost ratios to say 40x (you will see they are at 38,37,36,35)

Save and exit.

Download CPU-Z and Prime95, while Prime95 is running have CPU-Z open and check the core speed is 4Ghz

You can also download realtemp and keep an eye on the core temps.

Hopefully it will be stable at that modest overclock.

EDIT..dump the latest official BIOS on it also beforehand.

Will do. Gonna test bf3 tonight and will update all drivers beforehand.
My cable management is awful as it was as if the cables supplied with psu were just short of ideal length!
