120mb for 70€ or 90mb for 50€, good deal? Very tempted...

As per title I didn't know these services were available in the NL already but I'm very tempted to get that internet from UPC.

My main worries is that it has a fair use policy, on their site it says it shouldn't mean much as it's made to stream full HD tv for many hours a day... But I'm still worried because now I have a proper unlimited 20mb ISP for 20€ per month and never have any issues, 70€ is a fairly steep price compared to what we pay now...

The packages I can grab are :
Fiber Power Internet 120
Download snelheid 120 Mbps, tot 5 x sneller dan ADSL Upload snelheid 10 Mbps, tot 10 x sneller dan ADSL
70€ per month
Fiber Power Internet 90
Download snelheid 90 Mbps, tot 4 x sneller dan ADSL Upload snelheid 6 Mbps, tot 6 x sneller dan ADSL 50€ per month
Fiber Power Internet 60
Download snelheid 60 Mbps, tot 2,5 x sneller dan ADSL Upload snelheid 6 Mbps, tot 6 x sneller dan ADSL
40€ per month.

Very tempted to grab the quickest 120mb, would you guys think that for a person who does sit by his pc half a day, but has no HDTV's or other high bandwith users, it's worth grabbing such a deal ?
Or should I be more sensible and grab only 60mb ?
 
Snowdog, just out of interest what ISP you on for 20mb = 20€?

Plus i was looking at the same deal, 120mb for 70€ is a good deal, but as i got a kid on the way i have to look at a slightly slower speed.

Who will be paying the €70?
I remember you saying you will be sponging of your parents until you find a well paid job.
Does sponging of your parents include rent and internet bills?

Online, they said it's 20 for the first year and 25 for the years after but I asked if it could stay 20 when they asked to renew the contract ( it was only a 1yr contract) and they agreed.

Me, Though I'll ask them to pay the first 20 as my dad also uses Internet like 8 hours a day and he currently pays for it. I don't think parents will pay for stuff they don't consider necessary.
And no I don't pay them anything atm. The only thing I pay is my phone.



Anyways it's not yet available in my neighborhood, guess I'll have to wait :mad:. Bloody idiots I hope they hurry up.

The digital britain report consigned Britain to the internet slow lane for another 5 years. Fibre is but a distant dream for the majority.

So yes, I'm slightly jealous of the netherlands :)
