120mm intake fan - Antec Sonata II

Strangely enough hard drives remain relatively cool even though fan is underneath. Prob due to circulating air, so no stagnant air lingering around the hdd's. Will run a smart and post temps later.
Good news cheers :)

Good choice. Came first in the 120mm variable speed fan supertest.
Also do you have a link to such a test? I'm currently using 1x 120mm akasa amber and another 120mm fan that came with my Sonata but this fan makes a lot more noise than my amber which I find very quiet. Looking to get a replacement. Was going to get another amber but are the Zalman's much better? I've noticed they're a few pounds cheaper too.

Actually went out and bought myself 2x ZM-F3's. At 12v they are quite noisy, but at 7.5v pretty silent. Also move descent cfm's. The reference was to an article in a computer mag review of 50 odd fans.

today i have cut a blow hole into the side of my sonata, just waiting on the trim to be delivered, the fan is currently stuck on with duct tape, but when its finished it will look pretty smart with the fan grill in place also.

I too have a font intake fan however have it in the place it should be, removed the HDD and placed avove my DVD drive.

The blow fan has decresed idle & 100% load temps by 10degrees!

Spec in sig runs 39/40 idle & only 49/50 load :D
