have you tried touching the ssd?
if you get burnt you can assume it is correct if not it must be wrong

I would say it's a bug with HW Monitor. Normal Temp should be around 30°C which is what I get with Open Hardware Monitor and my Vertex 2E but heat isn't a big issue for SSD's anyway. If it actually was 128°C you wouldn't need to turn the central heating on ;)

The temperature sensor is broken, ignore it. Vertex 2s always show as either -1 or 30 degrees depending on which firmware you have. I guess Vertex 3s always show 128. It means nothing.

My agility 3 60gb is showing the same(128c)in HWMonitor and HDTune as well.
Every thing else ok with ur drive?
coz I have the "cold boot issue" :(
Have contacted both OCUK and OCZ but no successful reply!(OCZ have not responded to the Support ticket even!)

I really wouldn't pay any attention to the temperature reading with a SSD as chances are it will differ depending on which program you use to read the Temp or as DragonQ said depending on which firmware version your running with. The SSD would be tatty bread if it were actually sitting at 128°C !

I have been running my drive for 1 week now and no problems whatsoever. Post on their forums to get advice if you haven't done so.
