Hi I am looking at maybe upgradeing to a solid state drive 128gb because am thinking anything smaller might be used up quick i would be putting all my typical programs and games onto it, hence reason wanting that size.

Am wondering if all the space is available ie will a 128gb be 128 or less like on normal drives with the boot sectors etc.

I been looking at the 128GB Kingston SSDNow V Solid State Drive 2.5" SSD
series

Any advice would be appreciated thanks

Would 60gb be enough though because to keep performance and speed id like to install games on the ssd to keep them running at faster speed or would the ssd still improve load times even if they are on a normal hd drive particularly games on steam

Is it still wise to keep 15% of drive space free like on old drives even though ssd s dont need defrags etc ie if useing full drive well most can it affect performance having little free space.

Am using a i7 920 oc to 3.5 with 6gb of ram so hopeing one of these will make big difference.

How long does your version of windows fully boot with one of these

Am having mixed decisions i still like idea of 128gb but £280 is expensive am using that as guide as i only just using just over that now. suppose 60gb be plenty of just install most played games on it and rest of 2nd drive.

How long ago was the price drop ie when did you get yours

Thanks again

Is there much difference between the solid vertex and agility versions, i compared agility ones and just noticed the write speed slightly faster, other than that not sure.

Does anyone no how easy these are to flash upgrade firmware is it anything like flashing bios, i only no flashing bios from years ago and having bad experiences and killing one of me motherboards not taken risk since.

Am guessing and hopeing these are straight forward, also when you upgrade firmware do you lose everything and have to reformat.

Thanks

Also Does anyone no if you upgrade firmware do you need to reformat and install windows again.
And can you accidently do it wrong which would result in killing it.
Hope not
