12months into an 18month contract

Is it possible with vodafone to get a new phone at the 12month stage of an 18month contract or . . . can you cancel the contract.

You might be able to move down to a cheaper tariff. You'd probably have to pay £15-£20 for the next 6 months but if you could afford that then you could start a new contract.

You can usually only fiddle with stuff in the last 3 months of your contract, i.e. 15th month of an 18 month one. That's for upgrading phone/renewing contract etc. I'm not sure about changing down tarriff though

If you're a high spend user, they are often happy to let you upgrade quite a bit ahead of time (I once upgraded month 7 into a 12-month contract) so 12th month of an 18-month might be a possibility.

However, don't be too surprised if they say no.
