You spent £70 on fans and they still came with a molex connector? Thought everything nowadays was now 3/4 pin fan connectors directly connected to the motherboard. Don't think I've got a single molex connector on my new build.

No, I have a molex to 4 fan out. I want the fans at 100% but my mobo only as 3 fan headers and I have 6 fans and a pump

It could be the photos you saw
They put red on pin 4
Black on pin 2 or 3 simply because with red and black wires
You normally associate red as live
Bound to be someone else in here who knows for certain
Me I would dig an old fan out my cupboard
And test if I did it right

Why not just get a 2 or 3 way splitter for each fan header? At least you can still independently control e.g. intake and exhaust then if needed

Other option would be a proper powered Fan splitter cable (the Akasa below) that still allows you to connect the PWM Signal and control the whole lot via PWM, and also has a SATA power connector rather than Molex (so you don't need to keep Molex connectors e.g. on a modular power supply)

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £15.47 (includes delivery: £4.00)

I ordered one 11 days ago. I’m hoping soon they will dispatch it. But for now I’d like the fans working.

The fans are 2 shadow wings and 2 NF S12a so at full speed there all silent

I got the powered splitter so the 4 case fans can all run on one header. The pump can have its own header and the external rad can have 2 just on a splitter.
