13.3" laptop please

how are you finding yours at the minute?

Have you played any games on it yet?

I've only installed UT on it, that obviously runs very smooth.

If you want me to test out any benchmarks let me know. I did try out superpi which tests the cpu, it was around the 30s mark for 1M if I remember correctly.

I have been playing HL2 (and source based games),BF2 and BF2142 on my current 11z with the X4500HD gpu. I think HL2 was ok but BF2 and 2142 were playable with settings on lowest but there was a bit of noticeable lag.

Which version of UT is it you have installed? UT3?

Oblivion seems to run well....haven't really tested in depth, but stuck on medium settings and had a bit of a scrap with allsorts on screen by a gate, and all seemed playable to me :) No doubt some fiddling and tweaking will bring a decent setup, when I get the time

Great laptop, 3 days in and loving it :D

The site that had it on for £330 sold out, and now has it at £430. As cokecan72 said though, can be had for around the £350 mark. Check your emails. :)

There is still loads left, but i keep on having the feeling that by the time they get my laptop back and check it, it will be out of stock. It shouldnt happen though hah :|

Wonder how well counter strike source will play on this?

Sure the replacement will be fine...... :) Positive thoughts.....and a bit of yoga lol

Took the plunge and ordered one yesterday, It should be here today if my account on their site is anything to go by! I used the 2.5% off and added next day delivery on which was still slightly cheaper than before :)

Google "Acer 8371" and click on the shopping link at the top of the page, it should be the first result that says something along the lines of "£350 new from 58 sellers "

What BIOS do you guys have on your machine.....seems there are a few on the support site and wondering whether to sit tight with what I have (not sure which one that is, will check when I get home later) or go for the latest ?

Ah, I see :) Thinking of putting 7 on myself, but no spare copy atm :(
Purchase or 'acquire' is the question, but seems 'acquiring' or re-using my existing licence is not so easy with 7, in comparison to Vista/XP et al (boooo to that !)
