13 year old is world's first to beat OG Tetris, Sky News anchor belittles him on national TV

It’s a hobby on the same level as model planes, or beer tasting.
Tbh video games are a hobby, and they're among the cheaper ones. My others are lego (not cheap), but my brother is into warhammer and some of those are crazy money and I'm sure some people would call him a nerd (I do :p ).

Sky are really bad at this sort of thing. They really are a bunch of very dumb people. Remind me of my parents actually.

They don't have many "experts". It's very telling that their stories, you can tell the writer is really struggling to understand the topic. I find that's especially true with science reports, you can tell they have a really limited understanding of what they are reporting.

Yep, I’m 48 and my wife still has that “games are for children” attitude. GTFO :D

47 here, and likewise my wife has the same attitude

Glad I'm not alone here. Wife often wonders why I'm still into gaming but it's a valid hobby in my eyes. Especially as it's such a mainstream media channel these days too.

Hopefully my sons will get into it too, then she'll have to get on board!

40 here and my wife has a slightly different take, If I don't have a game with the lads a couple of nights on the trot she starts asking if im ok and why I am not gaming with the lads. She is very sweet with it bless her.
