£1300 base unit spec check

I'm certain I read somewhere that PCI2.0 at 8x was equivalent to PCI-E1.1 at 16x. Not that it really made much sense to me. Can anyone confirm/discredit this?

yes that is correct.

the P45s have one x16 PCIE 2.0 slto when using just one gfx slot.

when using 2 slots it revert to 2 8x 2.0 PCIE slots.

PCIE2.0 = double the bandwidth of PCIE 1.1

so x16 PCIE 1.1= x8 PCIE 2.0

actually p45 is generally bad chip u can search in motherboard forums as the guy snapped hes p45 for being so bad and **** i suggest at the same price to get x38 as it is virtually x48 and Has TWO Pcie 2.0 x16 slots. not like p45 Two pcie-2.0 x8 slots
